Where is your studio?
We do not have a permanent studio location at present. We are currently taking our photo sessions in the Durants Conference Room of the Royal Chace Hotel, 162 The Ridgeway, Enfield EN2 8AR on set days during the coming weeks and months.
There is ample free parking amid beautiful surroundings of this lovely hotel. However you MUST pre-book your photo session, so please ensure you confirm your session as spaces are always limited.
How many photos do you take and how long is a session?
We generally take around 100 images during a one hour session. Usually around 50 are taken during a "Cherubs" shoot. From those images around 20 images are selected and then prepared and personally designed for you. During your viewing, which would be in the comfort of your own home, you will be treated to a slide show of these images for you to make your selection from.
What should I bring with me for the photo session?
We encourage everyone to bring that which means most to them. Anything that will make images of your baby or children look unique. Remember we want to create images of you and your children that will show your character, your personality, the real you. Anything that will make your session more personal, enjoyable and relaxed.
Will there be anywhere for us to change clothes?
Yes we have a secluded changing area within the room. It is a good idea to bring a change of clothes as you can potentially get two sessions for the price of one. For young children especially, a change of clothes helps as accidents do happen.
What can you do that I can’t do at home?
We are professional photographers, and are fully qualified members of the Master Photographers Association, we are skilled in the use of the lighting techniques required to get the best images of all of our clients. The lighting we use, styles and effects that we create are simply too time consuming to recreate at home.
That being said environmental portraiture where we go on location is becoming ever more popular. The backdrops that can be had on location can make for amazing photography!
How long does the viewing last?
We allocate an hour for our viewings.
Who should be at the viewing?
Please ensure your partner and any preferably all other family members are there apart from the younger children. Part payment (usually 50%) is required when you place your order and the balance is paid when your order is ready. We accept payment by credit card, cheque, credit and cash.
Yes you do. Your voucher entitles you to a substantial discount on your order, it can only be redeemed if you bring it with you.
Can I bring my children along to the viewing?
We recommend parents do not bring their young children up to age 7 to the viewing. Young children often get tired and bored very quickly during an hour long viewing.
Can I pay by credit?
Yes. Please ask us during your viewing for further details.
Can I view my images when I have my session?
Regrettably not. We are professional photographers, and prepare your images to a very high standard. Once your images have been taken, they are then edited, retouched, airbrushed, re-cropped and crafted into unique photographic designs especially for you, and this takes time.
What if someone is sick and I have to cancel?
If someone in your group is sick, we still require as much notice as possible. To reschedule for free, 5 working days notice is required. A cancellation fee of £25 will be charged in all other circumstances, however as a goodwill gesture, this money can be used as credit when you finally do come in to view your session.
When will my portraits be ready?
Generally, your order will take around six weeks from the date you order.
How long do you keep the images on file for?
The images you order are normally kept on file for 3 months.
What if my relatives would like to order images too?
Of course they can order. However, to protect your privacy and as we do take a lot of images of children, you may get an online password protected Client Access area on our web site. Our clients can then supply the password to their families for them to view their images.
When can we come back in?
You may come back in at any time, especially as children grow up so quickly, it is a great idea to do so. We offer a FREE photo session to our clients. You will be welcome a photo session up to once a year with your family all you would pay for are the images you chose. Your annual photo session with Panikos Photography will always be free of charge!
Tell me about your Recommend a Friend Scheme?
A great way to receive additional prints you wanted but couldn’t purchase at your original viewing is to join our Recommend a Friend Scheme. When you recommend a friend or relative to us and they come in and have a session with us you will receive a ‘credit’ towards additional images from your session.
